I've lived in Oregon my whole life, but I've never made it out to Hood River before. This farm my family and I ventured to, U-Pick Organic, was a berry-picker's dream. The light was enchanting, the colors breath-taking, the stillness refreshing; I was in a photographer's heaven. It was the epitome of summer. I must confess, I don't think I picked a single berry that day, I was too enamored with the delightful farm and the surrounding Hood River landscape. I did, however, manage to capture some shots of my family hard at work and reap the benefits of their labor (yay berry cobbler). Do I feel bad? Not in the slightest. I'll definitely be paying a visit to Hood River again soon.
"In the waiting we begin to get in tough with the rhythms of life - stillness and action, listening and decision. They are the rhythms of God. It is in the every day and the common place that we learn patience, acceptance, and contentment."
